Meat - ball soup (Супа топчета). Bulgarian cuisine


  • 200 gr. mince
  • 50 gr. rice
  • 1 carrot
  • 2 onions
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbsp. yoghurt
  • 1 tomato
  • 1 potato
  • 1 tbsp. flour
  • Black pepper
  • Parsley
  • Salt

Preparation and serving:
Meat-balls: chop fine 1 onion. Add it to the mince together with 1 egg, pepper, salt and 1/3 of the washed rice. Form small balls and rill them in flour. Pour 2 L of water in a pan and bring it to the boil. Cut fine the other onion and the carrot and put them in the boiling water. When they soften, add the meat-balls. After 5 - 8 min. add the rest of the rice together with the grated tomato, and the diced potato. When the potatoe is cooked, add fine chopped parsley. Remove the pot from the plate and leave it for few minutes. Bind the soup with mix of egg and yoghurt.
Serve hot.
